Brief

We were asked by Sacyr to clear a site in Cardiff that had several complex factors which required careful planning and a in depth knowledge and experience dealing with Himalayan balsam (INNS).

Challenges

The site, situated just outside Cardiff borders SSI, which requires the following stringent regulations. The task, to render the site unsuitable habit for all wildlife. hazel dormice, reptiles, Himalayan balsam invasive non-native invasive weed. Clearing vegetation under licence (valid for October 2023 only) from NRW under supervision by RSK. Works, including brushing cutting by hand more than 20,000m² of bramble up to 3m tall, translocation of 25 semi mature trees. All completed within the deadline of October 31st.

Conclusion

We were able to complete all works within the timeframe delivering a professional package that went above and beyond our clients’ expectations.
